是指中国经济体制向市场经济过渡中的一种特殊的价格管理制度。价格双轨制指的是对同值的标的物实行两种不同的定价机制，一种是计划的垄断性定价，另一种是市场定价。在中国一般系指工业生产资料价格双轨制。这是计划经济走向市场经济的过程中的特殊产物。中国已经经历了三次价格双轨制向的单轨制的转变，第一次是生产资料，第二次是人民币对外币汇率(牌价)，第三次就是现在面临的资本市场的价格双轨制--非流通股的场外转让价格与流通股的市场价格的并轨，也即非流通股在统一的市场上实现全流通。
